Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines are present at the XXIII ALBA-TPC Summit

The Minister of Popular Power for Foreign Affairs, Yván Gil Pinto, received this Tuesday at Simon Bolivar International Airport in Maiquetía the diplomatic delegations of Antigua and Barbuda, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, regarding the celebration of the XXIII Summit of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America-Peoples Trade Treaty (ALBA-TCP).

The Venezuelan Foreign Minister, who was accompanied by the executive secretary of ALBA-TCP, Jorge Arreaza, on behalf of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro Moros, extended a cordial welcome to the country the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda, Gaston Browne; and the Prime Minister of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Ralph Gonsalves.

The Heads of State and Government, as well as the Heads of Delegations of the ALBA-TCP, will meet this April 24 in Caracas, with the objective of once again ratifying the organization's commitment to the union of peoples; under the principles of solidarity, social justice, cooperation and economic complementarity.

The ALBA-TCP was created in 2004 by the then presidents of Venezuela, Hugo Chávez and of Cuba, Fidel Castro, who signed the founding agreement in Havana with genuine regional integration, led by the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC) and the principles of the Proclamation of Latin America and the Caribbean as a Zone of Peace.
