The Secretary General of the United Nations (UN), António Guterres, criticized this Tuesday that more and more governments consider themselves masters of the world, so they believe that their actions have no results and are causing havoc on peoples, as is customary to the different administrations of the United States (USA).

During his speech at the General Debate of the 79th session of the UN, held in New York, Guterres noted that these governments and other entities, on the increase, are considered to be able to get away with it without consequences.

“They believe that they can trample on international law, that they can violate the United Nations charter” and live in total impunity carrying out abuses that endanger the foundation of life; for which he gave as an example the abominable acts in Lebanon and Palestine, perpetrated by the Zionist regime of Israel with the support of the White House.

According to the head of the multilateral organization, turning a “blind eye to international human rights conventions or to the decisions of international courts, or to say the least, to specify international humanitarian law” violates every agreement on humanitarian matters that has been made over the years and is the result of any overwhelming expression against the world.

He stressed that “invading another country, destroying entire societies or completely despising the well-being of its own people” are acts that must be punished and that the international community must be alarmed and spoken out, in order to move forward in “a time of a just peace”.
