Apure celebrated Llanerity Day with more than 2,900 men and women on horseback

With more than 2,900 men and women on horseback, they celebrated Flatness Day in the municipality of Páez, Guasdualito parish, in the state of Apure, as announced by the governor of the entity, Wilmer Rodríguez.
“This is a celebration of our identity, our culture, our roots and our history, a story that was consolidated on horseback in the spears and swords of our Liberators, to whom today we also pay homage,” he said.
Rodríguez stressed that the Llaneros and Llaneras are always ready to defend the Homeland. “From this infinite plain, together with the Braves of Apure, heirs of the lineage and courage of our ancestors, we continue to write pages of glory and defend our sacred country, preserve what is ours and keep alive the essence of what we are,” he said.
He also highlighted that the “rangers in hats and espadrilles, proud of our kindness and the history that forged us as a free, independent and sovereign people”.
For her part, the director of tourism, María José Ramírez, highlighted the relevance of the festivities of La Llaneridad as an engine for the promotion of tourism in the state and pointed out that during these events, hotels, gastronomy and emblematic places become protagonists, since they manage to project themselves and make themselves known with greater force at the regional, national and even international levels.
