Within the framework of the national training cycle promoted by the Venezuelan Sambo Federation, the state of Aragua hosted the National Regulations and Certification Seminar aimed at coaches, referees and leaders who will work during the 2026 competitive calendar.
The activity took place on February 13 and 14 at the Gran Tiuna - Hugo Chávez Peace Base Vertical Gymnasium, located in the city of Maracay, consolidating the central region as a strategic point for the technical and organizational strengthening of Venezuelan sambo.
According to a press release, in addition to the host state, the delegations of Carabobo, Cojedes and Guárico participated in this training day, as part of the regional structure established this year by the federation.
In 2026, the seminar cycle presents as its main novelty its distribution by areas and regions, with Aragua being the headquarters corresponding to the central region of the country. This modality sought to ensure greater participation, optimize technical preparation and strengthen the unification of arbitration and regulatory criteria throughout the national territory.
The seminar was attended by Karelhia Granadillo, director of arbitration at Feve-Sambo, and Carlos Arteaga, technical director of Feve-Sambo, who addressed the updating of the regulations, technical guidelines and mandatory certification processes for the development of the competitive year.
