With a solid and strategic day, Aragua wrote his name in gold letters in the Women's Táchira Cycling Tour when he was crowned absolute champion of the 2026 edition.
The consecration, according to a press release, came on the legs of captain María Joaquina Sánchez, who, after a second stage where she intelligently managed her efforts, secured first place in the individual general classification. Sánchez finished fifth in the final stage, more than enough time to maintain the lead built on the first round and seal an unprecedented victory.
The second stage also left more joy for the delegation, with Valery Montero rising to the podium when he arrived in third position, demonstrating the collective strength of the Lotería de Aragua team, which culminated as one of the most outstanding squads in the competition.
In the youth category, Aragua swept the podium, led by María Joaquina Sánchez, Valery Montero and Stefany Aular.
