Aragueño cycling closes the year with great expectations in 2026

Youth cycling in Aragueño experienced a special day to close the sports year, with the holding of a show race at the Carlos Anzola velodrome of the Julián Landaeta Robles Sports Complex, in which young riders demonstrated their talent towards 2026, the year of the National Youth Sports Games.

The program included short area tests, which are run with track bikes, including 200 meters thrown and one kilometer with a stop start. In the long area, cyclists competed with road bikes in the kilometer with a stop start and in the scratch test. As the closing of the event, all the participants met in the exciting elimination test.

This competition, according to a press release, marks the closing of the sporting activities of the current cycling concentration in Aragüeño, which culminated in a Christmas party and dinner in which athletes, representatives and coaching staff participated. This is an unprecedented event in cycling in the state, which for the first time brings together the entire sports family in a single space for integration.

Looking ahead to the National Games, expectations are high. The coaching staff is convinced that this will be the best team that Aragua has presented in its history, with real medal options in practically every event.

Cycling in Aragüeño thus closes an historic year, marked by union, institutional support and the firm conviction to continue building high-level sports results.
