In Argentina, this Thursday, teaching and non-teaching unions will comply with a 24-hour strike and will demonstrate at public universities across the country to protest against President Javier Milei's veto of the university funding law.

Next week, the union intends to carry out activities to make complaints visible, such as public classes, vigils, street and road blocks, as has been done in recent days as the takeovers of faculties, rectorates and pre-university schools have increased.

The national board, made up of authorities from the National Inter-University Council (CIN), teacher and non-teacher unions, as well as student groups and student centers, determined the measure of force and each building will remain closed.

The Historical CONADU (University Trade Union Front, CIN and FUA) pointed out that “the union action plan is in defense of the Public University, for the recomposition of salaries and the university budget.”
