The Armando Reverón Museum of Contemporary Art, in Fine Arts, Caracas, will inaugurate this April 30th the exhibition “I am not a horse”, a conceptual artistic proposal that explores the equine figure from an unconventional perspective.

The exhibition starts with the horse as a cultural symbol to dismantle its traditional meaning and open up the possibility of new interpretations, where the image can be transformed into other bodies, objects or even concepts such as the human or the mechanical.

Through this proposal, the participating artists work on the decomposition and reconfiguration of the meaning of the object, proposing a reflection on how the perception of the real is constructed.

The exhibition, free admission, invites the public to question the relationship between image and meaning, proposing a dialogue between form, identity and the reinterpretation of symbols in contemporary art.
