Army Commander: Battle of Carabobo is an example of civic-military union

The General Commander of the Bolivarian Army, Johan Alexander Hernández Larez, assured that the Battle of Carabobo is important, as it is a sign of civic-military union.

In his speech, he told the People of Venezuela that “today, that united army of the past feels more alive and vibrant , after having emerged in the effervescence of a different race, which still lives as an untamed people who will defend their historical legacy of independence or nothing at all.”

He added that "Carabobo is the main work of the full, sincere and thorough unity of Venezuelans (...) Venezuelans are warriors of peace who cross their borders and went to the south to give freedom to their brothers and that is their greatest historical legacy (...) Today as yesterday it is military and police under the motto of comprehensive defense and we are proud of these triumphs. We are living in a time of resistance, revolution and rebirth under the leadership of our Commander in Chief Nicolás Maduro Moros.”
