The Secretary of International Communist Relations of Catalonia, of Spain, Arnau Piqué, considered that the swearing in of President Nicolás Maduro is a sign of democratic strength.

“It was a show of strength and resistance, despite the media war that made it seem to see President Maduro as weak, but that's not the case. The Revolution is firm with the support of the People and an oath has been sworn in with full democratic normality,” he said during the World Anti-Fascist Festival that took place in La Carlota, Caracas.

He described the extreme right wing María Corina Machado as an absurdity that deceives her people and is part of that war plan against the Venezuelan people.

“You have to be honest, you can be against the Bolivarian Revolution but you can 't be dishonored like these opposition people who put on a media show and who don't deserve it either by their followers,” he emphasized.

He stressed that Venezuela, despite being the victim of a brutal media attack and the imperial blockade, is a country that is rising up and is on its way to prosperity. “I see a hopeful future, here is a very friendly people,” he concluded.
