Around 150 cyclists will participate in the Mountain Bike Tour of La Azulita

Cyclists from 18 Venezuelan states, plus a delegation from Colombia, will compete this week in the state of Mérida, in the twenty-ninth edition of La Vuelita Mountain Bike Tour, scheduled with four stages and more than 107 kilometers of mixed, cross-country and paved routes.

In statements given to the local press, the mayor of the Andrés Bello municipality, Carlos Rosales, explained that “more than 150 national cyclists from 18 states and Colombia will be touring our villages, from August 20 to 22.”

The technical congress of the Giro will take place this Wednesday, August 19, and the first stage will start at 10:00 on Thursday morning, in Plaza Bolívar de La Azulita, to cover 31.8 kilometers, through the villages: Mesa Alta, Saisayal, Paramito, Las Adjuntas, San Luis, El Salado, Agua Blanca and La Victoria.

Stage two, on the 21st, totals 36.3 kilometers of route, from La Azulita, passing through the Agua Blanca, El Salado, Mirabel, Las Cumbres and Sinaral communities. Stage three, 24 kilometers long, will take place on Saturday the 22nd, with a tour of the villages of San Rafael, San Pedro, Olinda, La Palmita, Bolivia and Bachaquero, while the fourth and final stage, scheduled for the same day, consists of a 15-kilometer closed circuit in the urban perimeter of La Azulita.
