Arreaza: We have to fight against indifference... The 42,000 dead in Palestine are not a number

The executive secretary of the Bolivarian Alliance for the Peoples of Our America - Peoples' Trade Agreement (ALBA-TCP), Jorge Arreaza, ratified on Monday the solidarity of the members of the regional bloc with the Palestinian cause, one year after the escalation of the genocide by the Zionist regime of Israel in the Gaza Strip.

From the Waraira Repano National Park, in front of a huge Palestinian flag, Arreaza stressed that this is an act “that must be happening all over the world today”, by “those who feel the pain in their hearts because of the denial of life to a noble people who were there, who will be there and that will continue to be there in their land, in their territory forever”.

He recalled that a year ago the Palestinian resistance carried out an action. “There are those who condemned it, there are those who applauded it, we can respect any position, but definitely the only cause of all those killed in Palestine, in Syria, in Lebanon, is the illegal occupation of the Palestinian territories, there is no other cause, it is not Islamic terrorism,” he said.

On behalf of the members of the Alliance, the Executive Secretary thanked all the world's youth, in particular the Youth of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (JPSUV), who raised their voices in defense of the Palestinian People.

“For a year, we have experienced the genocide live and live, on social networks, through the media and we have to fight against indifference, against naturalization. The 42,000 dead in Palestine are not a number, they are human beings, they are souls, they are the future they want to kill in Palestinian territory,” said Arreaza.
