At the 48th Meeting, CARICOM received Venezuela as an Observer State

On behalf of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, the Deputy Minister for the Caribbean of the Ministry of People's Power for Foreign Affairs, Raúl Li Causi, attended the 48th Meeting of the Conference of Heads of State and Government of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM), held in Barbados, the country that assumed the Presidency of the organization.
On its Instagram account, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic noted that the Conference of Heads of State and Government is the highest forum for deliberation within CARICOM.
Venezuela, in its capacity as Observer State, regularly participates as a strategic ally of the region, promoting cooperation and dialogue on issues of common interest.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister Li Causi, who also serves as Venezuelan ambassador to CARICOM, held bilateral meetings with leaders and senior authorities of the Caribbean, as well as with representatives of international subregional organizations, strengthening ties of cooperation and friendship with member countries.
Venezuelan participation in this forum reaffirms the commitment of the Bolivarian Government to regional integration and the strengthening of relations with the Caribbean.
It also made it possible to share information on advances in priority areas and to present the opportunities offered by the 13 new productive engines of the Venezuelan economy for joint development.
Venezuela and CARICOM continue to advance an agenda of comprehensive cooperation, based on solidarity, mutual respect and the shared benefit of the peoples of the Caribbean.
