Athletics League begins its activities in March

The Ministry of Popular Power for Sports announced that after closing a historic season, the National Athletics League is preparing for its second edition starting in March to build a new year of sporting successes for the country.

The event, created by the National Technical Commission of the discipline, under the support of the ministerial portfolio, began at the beginning of 2025 with the inclusion of a series of competitions that revolutionized the competitive system of national athletics and ended the season fulfilling the objective of consolidating itself as the main engine by contributing to obtaining international medals and awards.

In the 2025 edition, the Athletics League had as its sole venue the Brígido Iriarte stadium, in the city of Caracas, however, for this year it will be the state of Anzoátegui that will take the final to define the absolute champions of the event. The second edition of the League will take place in four stops, three cumulative points in the city of Caracas, the first will start on March 6 and 7, and in the month of April there will be two additional stages, the second stop on 10 and 11 and the third chapter on the following 17 and 18. The decisive parade that will crown the new champions will take place in the state of Anzoátegui on May 22 and 23, according to a press release from the ministry.
