The Attorney General of the Republic, Tarek William Saab, emphasized that the Public Ministry (MP) is not the accomplice that prevailed in the past, which gave carte blanche to this entire pack of murderers to kill police and military officials.

“Here there will be no impunity or the inaction that we were able to observe even in 2014 and 2017 with hooded vandals burning things on public roads,” said the Prosecutor.

In that regard, he confirmed that Venezuela has no protests. “There are pockets of violence to attack and create chaos, so that there would be foreign intervention,” he added.

He assured that the MP is acting with the justice system and auxiliary bodies. “The crimes they are prequalifying are not just obstruction of public roads; there are acts of terrorism,” he added.

The Prosecutor indicated that surely those who are generating violence will be put on lists of political persecution. “They are burning facilities, hospitals and monuments, these are terrorist acts.”

“Those members of armed criminal groups who, with the consent of the extreme right, act with hoodies to attack, create chaos and thereby generate pockets of violence, so that the respective sanctions will be applied,” he said.
