Australian citizens mobilized in front of the Port of Fremantle, on the country's west coast, to demand an end to logistics operations related to the transportation of military equipment to Israel.
During the demonstration, participants singled out the company MAERSK for using national port facilities to transport military components, including spare parts for F-35 aircraft, destined for occupied areas of Palestine.
The spokespersons of the organizing group asked the Australian executive and multilateral institutions to reexamine the activities of the shipping company and to put an end to any indirect support for Israel in Gaza, international media reported.
They also stated that public actions will continue until any business or state collaboration with operations that reinforce military deployment in the Palestinian territories is suspended.
