Authorities activate security deployment for the Elorza 2026 festivities with 3,000 officials

The civil and military authorities formally began the security deployment “Fiestas en Elorza 2026", whose operation has the strategic participation of more than 3,000 officials belonging to the Public Security and Civil Protection Bodies.

This contingent will guarantee the safety and integrity of the thousands of tourists and residents who congregate in the Rómulo Gallegos municipality.

During the beginning of the operation, the commander of ZODI No. 31 Apure, G/D Alfonso Galarraga, emphasized the importance of this deployment for the welfare of the state.

“We are activating this deployment of public security on the occasion of the 71st Popular and Tourist Fairs of Elorza 2026, to guarantee peace, tranquility and calm for the entire population of Elorza and our glorious state of Apure. We are the hosts and guarantors of peace in our state and here particularly in the Elorza parish,” said Galarraga.

The deployment will ensure that the celebrations take place in a framework of order, and allow the full enjoyment of the llanera traditions that characterize the region.

The authorities reported that the security device will remain active uninterruptedly until March 22.
