The president of the Municipal
Tourism Institute of Caracas, Williams Rivas, reported that they are working on different
plans to develop and promote activity in the capital city in order to attract national and international visitors.
He also indicated that all initiatives are
working in an articulated manner with the private sector so that
tour operators can offer quality service, as well as accommodation and
gastronomy.
“We started it in the Cathedral parish, which
is the Historic Center, and we are extending it to the 22 parishes,” he said and
specified that the tourist experience offered by the San Agustín sector will attract foreigners who want
to discover the birthplace of El Libertador Simón Bolívar.
“Everyone who comes, Russians, Poles, wants to be there,” he added.
He also announced that next Friday, September
27, the San Juan Tour tourist route will be inaugurated, which is based
on a tour of all the squares and historic sites of San Martín until
reaching the emblematic El Calvario park, which is located in the center of the country's city.
On July 10, the Basic Tourism Workshop was held, led by specialists from the Municipal Tourism Institute in the La Fuga Bicke Park Multimodal Mountain Biking Park, located in the Felipe Acosta Urban Planning, Coche parish, where more than 30 people from the community and staff of this place participated.
