The former president of the Commission for the Evaluation of Habitability and Infrastructure, Francisco Garcés, held a meeting with authorities from the seven states affected by the double earthquake.

Garcés pointed out that during the meeting, the technical elements that each of the mayors and executing agents must have were established to “carry out an adequate evaluation and repair of the most structural elements of masonry.”

He also explained that technical guidelines are being established for the shoring of structures that require it.

“On the other hand, next week we will have the technical guidelines for the repair of structural elements with minor damage and then we will present the technical guidelines for the repair of structural damage if necessary,” he added.

In addition, he reported that next week the work schedule for housing reconstruction will be advanced, through the Venezuela Renace Plan, in conjunction with various institutions.
