Authorities restrict the circulation of heavy-duty vehicles between April 17 and 21

The National Institute of Land Transport (INTT) informs cargo transport operators that, between Thursday 17th, starting at 01:00am, and Monday, April 21, at the same time, the movement of cargo weighing more than 3,500 kg will be restricted, with the objective of ensuring road safety during the Safe Holy Week Device 2025
This traffic ban does not apply to vehicles that carry the following products and services: perishable and non-perishable food, and their respective raw materials; road assistance, emergencies, police or military, telecommunications equipment and for the defense of the Nation.
As well as drinking water and the chemicals necessary for its purification, short-term medicines, carbon dioxide (dry ice), oxygen (gases or liquids necessary for the operation of health centers), solid waste of household origin (in vehicles authorized for this service), gas for domestic use and fuels intended for the supply of: land transport service stations, ports and airports, products associated with oil, agriculture and livestock activities; chemical fertilizers and newspapers.
This measure complies with the attributions described in the Land Transport Act in its Articles 5 and 17 respectively, where they establish that the INTT is the governing body of regulatory and regulatory policies in the field of road transport.
The Institute's call is for strict compliance with this road safety measure, in order to reduce accident rates during the Easter holidays.
