Balbino Fuenmayor elected LVBP Player of the Week

Balbino Fuenmayor de Caribes de Anzoátegui stood out
with the madero in the second week of the Venezuelan Professional Baseball League
(LVBP), in the period between October 21 and 26, to win the Best Player of the Week award.
This is the fifth time in his career that Fuenmayor has won the award, the last time it was last season, when he won it in the seventh week of the qualifying round.
Fuenmayor finished the second week of the LVBP
championship as the circuit leader in RBIs with 15 and in
24 pads (along with Damiano Palmegiani and Máximo Acosta).
He was also the co-leader in 11 RBIs (tied with Yonathan Perlaza) and bases reached 14 (tied with five other players).
The Carabobeño in that period with an impressive offensive
line of .429/ .500/ .667 to capture
40% of the votes of the accredited press for the season.
He beat outfielder Yonathan
Perlaza (15.6%) from Águilas del Zulia and pitcher Ronnie Williams (13.3%) from Tigres de Aragua in the selection.
Also taken into consideration by the voters were right-handed pitchers Sebastián Perrone de Caribes, Zac Grotz de Tiburones de La Guaira, and José Ramón Rodríguez de Caribes, in addition to position players José “Cafecito” Martínez de Tigres de Aragua and Jesús Sucre de Caribes.
