Banco Bicentenario del Pueblo provided funding to women fishermen in the state of Bolívar

The Bicentennial People's Bank (BBDP) provided funding to women fishermen in the state of Bolivar, as part of the Credimujer program carried out by the Great Venezuela Women's Mission.
This activity was led by the Minister of Popular Power for Women and Gender Equality, Dheliz Álvarez; the president of the National Fund for Women (Fonaem), Maryury Bargiela; the governor of the state of Bolívar, Ángel Marcano, and the mayor of the Angostura del Orinoco municipality, Sergio Hernández.
The purpose of the financial institution is to promote sustainable development, support female fisherwomen in coastal communities, in addition to encouraging production and innovation to improve working conditions and contribute to the supply of seafood destined for the state and national markets.
With the delivery of this funding, the Bicentennial People's Bank reaffirms its commitment to the well-being of each region of the country, following the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, in supporting working women in the country to achieve their economic independence.
