In the framework of the commitments made by the President of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, and the Prime Minister of Barbados, Mia Mottley, during the visit of the Caribbean president to Caracas last August, the Minister of Agriculture, Food and Nutritional Security of Barbados, Shantal Munro-Knight, arrived in Venezuelan territory at the head of an official and technical delegation.

The Barbadian delegation will carry out a work agenda channeled by the Venezuelan Foreign Ministry and the Ministry of People's Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, aimed at complying with the Joint Declaration signed by the leaders of both countries on August 24, which enshrines the strategic commitment to deepen bilateral cooperation in the areas of food and agriculture security, logistical and commercial connectivity, and education, under the principles of complementarity and mutual benefit.

The work program foresees that Minister Munro-Knight and her delegation will hold high-level meetings, as well as a series of meetings and technical visits to different sectors of the country.
