Barcelona receives international flights after damage to Maiquetía

Barcelona's José Antonio Anzoátegui Airport operates as an alternate terminal for international flights, following damage to Simón Bolívar International Airport in La Guaira due to the seismic double.

Regional authorities received this Thursday the first Lasser flight from Miami with 53 passengers, at the beginning of a daily itinerary between the two destinations.

For his part, Jesús Aponte, manager of the state's airports, reported that new routes will soon be enabled.
