The Central Bank of Venezuela announced that for the last three months, cumulative inflation stood at 3.2%, the lowest since this index was prepared (2008).
“In July 2024, the month-on-month variation of the National Consumer Price Index (INPC) was 0.7%, the lowest in the year and the lowest result for any month of the year since 2008,” the BCV reports on its website.
The highest financial institution indicated that compared to years prior to 2008, the cumulative variation between May and July in current flows was 3.1% and represents the lowest value since 1985 (1.1%), so that current inflation results are at levels similar to those recorded four decades ago.
