Venezuela has signed a series of contracts with BRICS countries to leverage the productivity of Guyana's basic industries with foreign investment, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, said.

“In the short term, we are going to have investments, technology and new markets for our companies,” said the President at an assembly with SIDOR workers.

In this regard, he stressed that these agreements were signed within the framework of the provisions of the Constitutional Anti-Blockade Law, which gives the Public Power the tools to mitigate the effects of the sanctions imposed by imperialism on our country.

On the other hand, the Head of State stressed that Venezuela is at a favorable time for basic companies in Guiana, in a process of economic growth and technological updating.

“We need to move forward with an efficient, honest and transparent management model. Privatization, as has been demonstrated, only favors millionaires, multinationals because I say to the working class and to all the people: We have a project to get foreign investment to overcome the blockade,” he emphasized.
