The Aristobulo Istúriz
Bolivarian Family Movement filed
an application for amparo before the Supreme Court of Justice (TSJ) in
rejection of the viral challenges of the social network TikTok.
Yuleidy
Carrizo, a member of the movement, from
the headquarters of the Supreme Court, indicated that they have introduced a
constitutional remedy to protect
the rights and guarantees of our children and adolescents.
“It is necessary to remove the viral challenges from the TikTok platform that have been affecting dozens of adolescent boys, girls and young people in various educational centers in our country,” says the document provided.
He also notes that the so-called viral challenges that are posted through social networks, especially TikTok, have brought many consequences, such as poisoning, that have jeopardized the physical and psychological integrity of our children.
“Aristobulo Istúriz Bolivarian Family Movement explains the following to the educational community, society and public opinion: “We strongly reject the events recorded in recent days, which have truncated the dreams and cut short the lives of two young people from this country. We extend a strong fraternal embrace and supportive support to their families whose pain we share because there is no consolation in the face of this regrettable loss, caused by the irresponsibility of unscrupulous individuals and companies that do not want the good of our families,” the document says.
On the night of this Monday, November 18, the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, announced that he issued instructions for TikTok Latin America to remove from the country all publications linked to challenges that can be deadly for boys and girls.
