Bolivarian Government activated Unified Forest Fire Control Command in Yaracuy

The Bolivarian Government activated the Unified Forest Fire Control Command to carry out security and protection actions against such environmental incidents in Yaracuy.
“We are taking forecasts at high points from the Aroa, Albarico, Mayorica, Milla mines, all the upper and lower parts of Cocorote, the María Lionza and Cumaripa Natural Monument in Bruzual, Urachiche, Riíto in Nirgua, areas that we will address and will be under constant surveillance,” said the Secretary General of Government, Juan Torrealba.
For his part, the Secretary of Public Security, Rogelio Vázquez, indicated that there are agencies and all the necessary equipment for the deployment of prevention and for detecting early alerts.
Vázquez urged the population to use the 171 emergency care service or call 0800-YARACUY to report fires. He also mentioned that there will be a situation room in the Fire Department Command to monitor 14 surveillance points in high areas, and to act quickly in the face of any eventuality, according to a note from Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
These guidelines are under the orders of the governor of the western entity, Julio León, before the beginning of the drought period in the region, to prevent adverse environmental events in mountainous areas.
