Bolivarian Government activates comprehensive rehabilitation plan in hospitals in the country

The Ministry of People's Power for Health began this Thursday a strategic plan for the comprehensive recovery of the hospital network throughout the country, with the objective of rehabilitating critical infrastructures, mainly in electrical and drinking water supply systems.

Healthcare centers in Caracas will be prioritized because of the high density of large scale facilities in the capital, as defined by the Minister of Health, Nuramy Gutiérrez, and the Minister of Public Works, Juan José Ramírez, during a technical meeting.

The project involves the creation of specialized brigades to intervene in elevators, ventilation and strategic medical support areas, to ensure that the systems work permanently for the well-being of patients.

The program includes a waterproofing scheme called Community Roof to protect structures from leaks and major damage, in addition to the activation of environmental sanitation days to ensure adequate and safe environments in each health center.
