Bolivarian Government activates desalination plant in Falcón state

The Bolivarian Government achieved the comprehensive rehabilitation of the Omaira Gómez Desalination Plant, which serves more than 500 families in the Falcón municipality, with a production of three liters of water per second (LPS).
The Ministry of People's Power for Water Care, through the National Water Industry (INASA), delivered the plant, which has a storage capacity of 44,000 liters.
The work carried out included the rehabilitation of the transformer bank and the electrical wiring, in addition to the assembly of the membranes and filters, with the respective improvements in the laboratory spaces.
The governor of Falcón State, Víctor Clark, explained that this new work is in addition to the projects implemented in the region to strengthen the water system, in response to 512 families in the sectors: San Vicente, San Vicente Sur, San Pedro, La Trinidad, Winner One, Winner, Las Clavellinas, Maruaima, Cicaname, Todajia, Guaidavacoa, El Socorro, La Sabaneta, Isito, El Tinaquillo, La Macoya, Jacuque and Itiguamar.
In addition, the First Community Water Council in the state was certified, a structure that brings together the spokespersons of the Technical Water Boards and the Water Communication Management Rooms, who now have the functions of participating in the planning, monitoring and control of the drinking water and sanitation service, as well as in the hydraulic works carried out in this entity.
The president of Hidrofalcón, Ali Cardenal Primera, accompanied by the president of INASA, Julio Sequera, emphasized that these actions promote the active participation of organized communities in the discussion, agreement, coordination and the search for solutions to problems related to drinking water and sanitation services.
