The Bolivarian Government, through the mayor's office of the Girardot Municipality, is carrying out the restoration of the Cathedral of Maracay, an emblematic temple inaugurated in 1701.
According to a press release, work is being carried out in this church both in the internal and external areas, highlighting the restoration and modernization of the main altar.
Among the novelties that the Maracayero temple will have, is a new altar with the incorporation of traditional and modern elements with marble, quartz and bronze.
The development of the work was supervised by Mayor Rafael Morales, together with the bishop of the diocese of Maracay, Monsignor Enrique José Parravano and the parish priest Jesús Díaz.
It should be noted that these tasks are framed in actions aimed at restoring all the country's temples, instructed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
