Bolivarian Government advances Single Housing Registry for those affected in Aragua

The Ministry of Habitat and Housing (MINHVI), together with the Government of the state of Aragua, held a day of the Single Housing Registry to serve families affected by the earthquakes that occurred on June 24.

The operation was carried out in the municipalities of Santiago Mariño and Girardot, with the purpose of collecting information from family groups whose homes were affected by structural damage or loss of housing, the ministerial body reported on its website.

The day, as reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), began in the Bosque Lindo residences, located in the Turmero parish of the Santiago Mariño municipality, where residents of Tower 4 were registered, a 10-story building with 40 apartments and 150 residents, which presented structural collapse.

The characterization process also included affected families from other areas of the state of Aragua and La Guaira.

In addition, residents of the Abitare 2002 residences, located in the Los Tacarigua parish of the Girardot municipality, were treated, a 19-story building with 117 apartments and 120 families, identified with a red label due to damage to beams and columns.

The Minister for Habitat and Housing, Paola Posani, reported that the Single Housing Registry is intended exclusively for people affected by earthquakes and noted that the plan contemplates the construction of housing to meet the demand generated by this situation.

“Since July 13, we have started with the issue of registration; the president decided to make a Single Housing Registry for people affected by the earthquake. Our plan is to deliver 4,000 homes this year nationwide and 7,000 next year, also nationally,” said Posani.
