Bolivarian Government attends to collapse on Francisco Solano Avenue in Caracas

The Mayor's Office of Caracas immediately responded to the collapse that occurred on Francisco Solano Avenue, in the Libertador municipality, through specialized teams that inspected the area and confirmed the risk on the road.
The mayor of Caracas, Carmen Meléndez, reported that work has already begun to replace the affected pipes. “All levels of government are acting on the fault. The necessary changes have started and in approximately eight hours we expect to have this problem resolved,” he said.
He indicated that preventive closures and the implementation of an urgent repair plan were implemented; where work is being carried out to replace affected pipes, with the expectation that in eight hours the situation will be resolved.
Constant monitoring is also maintained to evaluate the evolution of the problem. At the same time, an urgent repair plan was launched, with the objective of restoring normality in the shortest possible time.
The incident, which caused the collapse of a section of the avenue and affected two vehicles, was immediately addressed by the authorities. At the site, inspection and coordination tasks were carried out between different agencies, such as the Ministry of Popular Power and Public Works and HIDROCAPITAL, to determine the extent of the damage and ensure a prompt solution.
“The recovery efforts include the asphalting of the affected area, an exhaustive verification of the infrastructure and the monitoring of the work to ensure the stability of the road,” he said.
Meléndez specified that coordination between competent bodies and the community will allow an effective solution, minimizing the impact on citizen mobility.”
