Bolivarian Government carries out controlled demolition of the Ángela building in Guatire after technical evaluations

After establishing the corresponding safety protocols, the controlled demolition of the Ángela building, located in the Zamora municipality of Miranda state, affected by the devastating earthquakes recorded in Venezuela on June 24, began.

The work is carried out after the evaluations of the Presidential Commission for the Evaluation of the Habitability of Housing and Infrastructure, which determined the need to demolish the structure, which, being low in height, does not require the use of explosives.

The governor of the entity, Elio Serrano, indicated that in the municipality of Zamora there are 122 buildings with yellow classification and 10 with red labels, a category that - he clarified - does not imply the need to demolish the structures, so that, with the support of the State, the necessary repairs will be carried out according to the particular situation of each case.

Serrano reported that the mayors have arranged all the engineers and specialists in the area, as well as the municipality's security forces, to provide support during the demolition of the building, consisting of eight apartments and two commercial premises.
