Bolivarian Government carries out risk mitigation work in Rio Zulia to protect the population

The Ministry of the People's Power of Public Works carries out pipeline work, rectification of water flow, land cuts and construction of retaining walls, in the Valderrama sector of the Catatumbo municipality kilometer 20, with the purpose of expanding the capacity of the Zulia riverbed and preventing contingencies.
The works adapt the river route and reinforce vulnerable areas to reduce the impact of possible floods, which optimizes the behavior of the tributary and protects the populations settled on its banks.
The technical deployment includes a hydraulic excavator for cutting, moving and removing material, as well as the Garbe 203 barge for maneuvering on the body of water.
The work in the Valderrama sector is part of a preventive plan aimed at stabilizing conditions in the basin and protecting adjacent communities.
