Bolivarian Government confirms repairable damage to Turmero buildings

A total of 40 buildings have been inspected by experts for a structural evaluation following the earthquakes recorded on June 24, with the objective of ensuring the safety of families and determining the living conditions of buildings in Turmero in the state of Aragua.

Through the Infrastructure and Habitability Board, the Municipal Engineering, Civil Protection, Risk Management, Hydrocenter and Aragua Gas teams carried out inspections in various buildings in the Santiago Mariño municipality, according to a press release from the municipality.

During the tour of the Castell Grande II and Habitare 2003 residences, it became known that the detected damages mainly correspond to damage to masonry and coatings, which are repairable.

The inspections were accompanied by specialists from the Aragua State College of Engineers, technical personnel from the Government, Civil Protection, city councilors, headed by the president of the Municipal Council, Luis Vivas, as well as representatives of the neighborhood offices and condominium councils.

Among the buildings evaluated are Laguna II, Caridad del Cobre, El Paraíso, La Venezolana II, Habitare 2003, Torre Pacasso, Costa del Sol, Castell Grande I and II, Residencias Mariño, Los Candy, Isabella, Bosque Lindo, the Nellys building, the Güerito Mission Base, the Our Lady of La Candelaria Church, the Municipal Council and the Farmers' Market.
