Bolivarian Government consolidates sovereignty in the digital economy

Within the framework of the policy of economic modernization and digital consumer protection, authorities from the Ministry of People's Power for Industries and National Commerce (MPPICN), together with representatives of the Chamber of Electronic Commerce (CaveCom-e), are making permanent progress in the development of technical work tables aimed at building a sovereign legal framework, adapted to the challenges of the contemporary digital economy.

The information was provided by the MPPICN, on a portal, in which it points out that these meeting spaces allow us to learn about the advances of the Digital Economy in the territory and are aimed at building a work route that protects citizens.

He added that it also seeks to strengthen domestic production, guarantee economic sovereignty in the digital environment, fair competition and the protection of socio-economic rights, as part of the guidelines of the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro and that the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez continues.

This technical panel brought together experts in digital economy, law, technology, security, representatives of public and private institutions as well as the country's productive sector.

From the Ministry, mechanisms are established for a sovereign, secure and inclusive e-commerce model, reaffirming the commitment to creating a reliable digital environment that enhances the growth of entrepreneurs, services and companies across the country.
