The Minister for Communes and Social Movements, Ángel Prado, reported the delivery of agroinputs to almost 400 producers in Ocumare del Tuy, Miranda states, with the objective of strengthening the planting and breeding of food items for the benefit of the Venezuelan people.

“Thanks to the Bolivarian Revolution and the policies of President Nicolás Maduro (...) today all producers are going to take their agricultural inputs to develop planting in this 2025 cycle,” Prado said.

The event was attended by the Minister of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Julio León Heredia, who emphasized the importance of government support for peasants and community members, highlighting the fundamental role of popular organization in the territory.

“We are guaranteeing agro-inputs to a group of peasants, an expression of what organization is in the commune. Here are the men and women who guarantee food and who, at very complex times such as 2016, 2017 and 2018, managed to overcome the blockade and sanctions,” said Heredia.

During the event, Heredia highlighted that the plan for financing and supply of inputs will support 14,620 producers nationwide, with a goal of planting 40,000 hectares.

He also announced that a production of more than 120 million kilos of corn is expected, destined both for human food and for the production of animal fodder.

“The Homeland is built by planting, working. Here are the men and women who guarantee the food of the Venezuelan people,” he stressed.
