More than 330,000 medical-surgical supplies and medicines will be distributed in hospitals in La Guaira, according to information published on the web portal of the newspaper Úlmas Noticias (UN).

The governor of the entity, José Alejandro Terán, reported “we are grateful to President Nicolás Maduro because today we have more than 331,000 supplies that are already being distributed in our hospitals. This allows us to move forward with force in the care of our people.”

With regard to the National Surgical Plan, he pointed out that “more than 780 patients have been operated on. Health doesn't wait, that's why we maintain a permanent effort to ensure decent and quality care,” while adding that 771,000 dollars have been provided in grants for studies and high-cost treatments through the La Guaira Health Foundation.

The single health authority, Nelare Bermúdez, indicated that the deployment of the plan activated 11 operating rooms simultaneously, speeding up procedures such as hysterectomies, sterilizations, hernias, phimosis, varicoceles, lipomas and trauma surgeries.
