Bolivarian Government deployed volunteer brigades to care for those affected after earthquakes

In a unified effort to guarantee the social protection and well-being of the population, the volunteer brigades of the Ministry of Health were deployed to provide comprehensive medical care at the facilities of the emblematic Andrés Bello Educational Complex, in Caracas.

This immediate approach, according to a press release, has as its main objective to provide direct, timely and quality medical assistance to families who have been transferred from the state of La Guaira, as well as to residents of the area whose homes and infrastructure were affected after the earthquake that occurred last June 24.

The field deployment has a multidisciplinary team that closely evaluates the needs of refugee communities and local inhabitants. Among the main actions carried out on the site, the Primary Health Care service stands out, which includes general consultations, control of chronic diseases and the delivery of essential medications free of charge.

In addition, the technical staff maintains strict Epidemiological and Preventive Surveillance by constantly monitoring the sanitary conditions of the space in order to prevent outbreaks and ensure healthy environments for all citizens.

In the same way, the comprehensive approach incorporates a Psychosocial Support area aimed at providing emotional support and mental health care for families experiencing this contingency.
