Bolivarian Government evaluates school infrastructures in Valles del Tuy

Members of the prevention, structural engineering and municipal bodies are carrying out a deployment to evaluate the infrastructures of educational establishments in order to ensure a safe return to classrooms in the Valles del Tuy, Miranda state, after the double earthquake recorded on June 24.

In the Cristóbal Rojas municipality, in Charallave, Mayor Yuhismar Hernández reported that nine special commissions have been activated that have verified the physical conditions of the campuses Cecilio Acosta, CEIN Charallave, Simón Bolívar, Charavares, Ramón Vega, Teresa de Bolívar, Cein Apacuana and Mamá Hipólita, reported the Latest News portal.

For their part, in the Simón Bolívar municipality, in San Francisco de Yare, Civil Protection and the Center for the Development of Educational Quality inspected 24 of the 37 institutions in the jurisdiction.

The local director of Civil Protection, Douglas Piñango, explained that three schools with severe structural commitments were detected. “Under yellow alert (constant technical observation) are the EU San Antonio de Bari and the EU Manuel Salvador Medina. In addition, the school in the Lechozal sector was declared on red alert (high risk), and its immediate use was restricted for safety,” he explained.

While in the municipalities of Tomás Lander, in Ocumare del Tuy; Paz Castillo in Santa Lucía; Independencia in Santa Teresa and Rafael Urdaneta in Cúa, technical teams continue to gather information in institutions in the Tuyera area.
