Bolivarian Government held Social Care Day to the Apanao Indigenous Community in Guiana Esequiba

The Government of the Guayana Esequiba state, in collaboration with the Esequibo Social Action Foundation and the Ministry of Older Adults; Grandparents and Grandmothers of the Homeland, carried out a successful day of social care that benefited more than 800 people in the Apanao indigenous community.
This activity also extended its reach to the inhabitants of the San Antonio indigenous communities km 34, including the Apasan and Maiwok sectors.

The day was led by the Minister of Adults and Older Adults, Magally Viña, and Governor Neil Villamizar, who dedicated themselves to providing direct care to the grandparents and grandmothers present at the event. In addition, there was a barber service, offering a moment of personal care for the attendees.
During the activity, medical services were offered that included general medical care, pediatrics, vaccination and the elimination of diseases, thus ensuring comprehensive care for the attending population.
Minister Magally Viña highlighted the importance of these services, stating that “they come to benefit our grandparents and grandmothers of the country”, underlining the government's commitment to the welfare of older adults.

For his part, Governor Neil Villamizar expressed his satisfaction with the results obtained, explaining that “every weekend we are reaching the farthest corners to guarantee free health to those who need it most.”
Villamizar also reported that, so far this year, more than 28,000 people have been treated in various health areas, reaffirming the regional government's commitment to medical and social care.
Provision of medical supplies
During the authorities' visit to the indigenous community, supplies and technical aids were also provided to the Apanau outpatient clinic, while school uniforms, bags and books were delivered.
Presence of Ecosocialism
In addition, the Ministry of Popular Power for Ecosocialism of Guiana Essequiba was represented, where an assembly was held for the opening of a nursery for the reforestation of mining areas, thus contributing to the conservation of the environment in the region.
This day is a reflection of the joint effort between government institutions and the community to improve the quality of life of the inhabitants of the Guayana Esequiba state, ensuring that everyone has access to essential services.
