Bolivarian Government inaugurated the II International Congress of Entrepreneurs

At the Bolivar Park Convention Center, in La Carlota, the II International Congress of Entrepreneurs - Venezuela Tech Week 2026 is taking place, a space that brings together leaders, experts and visionaries from all over the world with the purpose of strengthening the Venezuelan business ecosystem and promoting new opportunities for innovation.

The event brings together delegations from more than 50 countries, who answered the call to learn first-hand about Venezuela's advances in entrepreneurship, technology and productive development.

During the opening, the Minister for Youth and National Coordinator of Entrepreneurship Together, Sergio Lotartaro, stressed that international participation demonstrates the growing global interest in Venezuelan talent.

“More than 50 countries decided to come and meet us and find out what is being done in Venezuela in the area of entrepreneurship. Here are the top 60 projects that today show the creative and productive capacity of our youth,” he said.

During the day, the president and founder of Ridery, Gerson Gómez, shared his experience as a Venezuelan entrepreneur and highlighted the importance of resilience as an engine of growth.

“Entrepreneurship is a path of great resistance, of a lot of resilience. It's not a linear path; it's full of challenges and obstacles, but also of great satisfaction when you manage to impact the lives of others,” Gómez said.

The Congress also allowed us to deepen the country's strategic vision in terms of innovation, technological entrepreneurship and digital transformation, framed in the Plan of the 7 Transformations.

The Minister of Economy, Finance and Foreign Trade, Anabel Pereira Fernández, also participated in the event, who highlighted that Venezuela is going through a phase of stability and sustained growth, where technology and innovation have become fundamental engines.

“We have overcome highly complex stages to enter a phase of consolidation and sustained growth, where technology and entrepreneurship are not just alternatives, but part of the engines of our economy,” he said.

Pereira Fernández stressed that the country has highly trained human capital, competitive on a global scale and with extraordinary potential to lead new industries.

Venezuela is not creating the future, it is building it. Current stability is the window of opportunity for those who have the vision of investing early in a market in recovery and expansion,” he said.

For his part, Calixto Ortega, Sectorial Vice President of Economy and Finance, stressed that the country is going through a period of sustained recovery, driven by economic reforms, exchange rate stability and a renewed climate of confidence for investment.

Ortega noted that, over the past few weeks, the Venezuelan Government has maintained a permanent dialogue with international partners and private sector actors, with the objective of supporting its operations and strengthening national economic activity.
