Bolivarian Government inspects progress in construction of the new Onia Bridge in Mérida

Authorities of the Bolivarian Government supervised the construction of the new Onia bridge in the state of Mérida, which is 80% complete, with 14 consolidated pillars, as well as the construction of retaining walls.
This was reported by the Ministry of People's Power for Transportation through a press release in which they emphasized that the works under development were inspected by the Minister for Transportation, Ramón Velásquez, in compliance with instructions from the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro.
In the supervision, the authorities determined progress in 14 consolidated and unmolded pillars; the application of waterproofing and the installation of structural steel elements, which pave the way for the installation of a new bridge in the short term.
“The retaining walls are also being emptied,” says a press release from the Government of Mérida.
