Bolivarian government inspects rehabilitation of generation units in Zulia

With the objective of strengthening electricity service in the state of Zulia, the minister of popular power for Electric Energy, Jorge Márquez, inspected the comprehensive rehabilitation work in electric generation units located in the Maracaibo municipality.

In the company of workers from the National Electric Corporation (CORPOELEC), he verified the scope of the maintenance maneuvers on the turbine and equipment of the TZ01 unit and the recovery of the TZ07 unit in Termozulia.

Márquez, together with the governor of the state of Zulia, Luis Caldera, and the president of CORPOELEC, José Luis Betancourt, also oversaw the refurbishment of the operations control area of the TZ07 unit.

During the inspection day, he reaffirmed that these technical actions will contribute to the operation of the National Electricity System (SEN), thanks to the addition of new megawatts that will strengthen the quality, efficiency and continuity of the energy supply, the ministry said in a press release.
