As part of the 2026 Rain Plan, the Ministry of Public Works and the Mayor's Office of Caracas carry out the maintenance and cleaning of streams in various parts of the Venezuelan capital and the state of Miranda.

A resident of the Reina de la Cruz community, Elizabeth Rangel, said that cleaning work in the Virgen del Valle ravine provides peace of mind to her family.

Crews are deployed at critical overflow points of the ravine, such as Altagracia, Antímano, Sucre and La Pastora parishes.

These works benefit more than 15,000 families from these four parishes in the capital city.

The objective is clear: to provide security and peace of mind to communities in the face of rainfall, to avoid overflows and to protect Venezuelan homes.
