Bolivarian Government performs interventions under the Palatine Lip Surgical Plan in Táchira

The Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Health, performed a total of 11 children's surgeries, of the Palatine Lip and 3 Otoplasty, were performed in San Cristóbal, Táchira state.

This is an articulated work between the Tachirense Family Foundation and the Táchira Polyclinic.

These interventions are part of the Palatine Cleft Surgical Plan for pediatric patients, as detailed in a press release by Karen Durán de Bernal, president of the Foundation and first lady of the state.

“Eleven operations were carried out completely free of charge, thanks to the perfect coordination with the government, thanks to Dr. Ricardo Benvenuto, the Rotary Valley of Santiago, the El Niño Simón Regional Foundation and that sum of wills that make it possible for us to reach every corner of the entity to provide answers to the population,” said Durán.

Three otoplasty surgeries were also performed, a surgical procedure used to change the shape, position, or size of prominent ears, reduce their size, or to correct deformities.
