Civil engineer Jorge Díaz, attached to the Meridian Institute of Infrastructure and Roads (INMIVI), reported on the start of a road recovery project in the La Mata Urbanization, Mérida state, after carrying out a preliminary study that determined the need to install approximately 120 tons of asphalt for the rehabilitation of the road.

This work is carried out at the direct request of the governor of the Andean entity, Jehyson Guzmán, who prioritized its execution. In addition, the project has the collaboration of a group of institutions, including INMIVI, the Secretariat of Public Services and Barrio Tricolor, which provides logistical support with cargo vehicles, Díaz added.

It is expected that this rehabilitation day will contribute significantly to the improvement of the community's road infrastructure, in addition to significantly benefiting its inhabitants, by facilitating traffic in the area, especially on Avenida 2 in this town, according to a press release from the Government of Mérida.
