Bolivarian Government promotes hydroponics training for women entrepreneurs in Lara

The Women in Science and Technology Movement of the state of Lara promoted a day of socialization of scientific knowledge aimed at women entrepreneurs and community spokespersons in the Palavecino municipality, within the framework of the policies for the democratization of science promoted by the Ministry of Popular Power for Science and Technology (MINCYT).

The activity, organized by the Foundation for the Development of Science and Technology (FUNDACITE LARA) and the general management of the Mayor's Office, focused on the training and discussion workshop “Roots Without Land, Experiences in Hydroponics and Aeroponics from Science”. During the meeting, the participants acquired knowledge about efficient performance urban and peri-urban agriculture techniques, as well as about the scientific basis and practical operation of hydroponic and aeroponic systems.

The workshop seeks to promote food production in small spaces, to use water resources in a sustainable way and to promote women's economic autonomy in the agro-productive field. The day is part of a training agenda that Fundacite Lara develops in different communities of the entity, with the purpose of linking technical-scientific knowledge with the needs of the people.
