The Bolivarian Government, through the Government of Lara, provided 200 human and technical assistance to older adults and people with disabilities.
The aid was provided by the governor of the state of Lara, Luis Reyes Reyes, with the purpose of improving the mobility and autonomy of the beneficiaries, guaranteeing decent care that facilitates their full social integration.
These deliveries were made in response to requests received through the 1x10 Good Governance system, letters and social networks, according to a press release from the government of Larense.
The care was managed through the State Council for the Care of Persons with Disabilities (CEAPDIS-LARA) and the Institute for the Social Development of Older Persons (INDESAM).
During the activity, wheelchairs, canes, diapers for adults, walkers and anti-decubitus mattresses, among other specialized supplies, were provided.
In this regard, Governor Reyes Reyes emphasized the importance of socio-productive inclusion. “Every person with a disability must have an occupation. For that reason, since the Lara administration, we are raising attention for each of them,” he said.
Also at the event were the presidents of CEAPDIS-LARA and INDESAM, Dilcia Sivira and Alba López, respectively, who reaffirmed their commitment to continue with these deployments in the various municipalities of the entity.
